Huckabee to help raise money for Alabama candidate

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will
be in Huntsville Tuesday night to help raise money for District 5
congressional candidate Les Phillip.

Huckabee, who unsuccessfully sought the Republican presidential
nomination last year, will speak at the fund raiser at the Von Braun Center's North Hall.

The 46-year-old Phillip is a native of Trinidad-Tobago.

The family moved to St. Croix before immigrating to Baltimore in 1971.
He became a naturalized U.S. citizen seven years later.

Tickets for the event range from $50 to $1,000 each.

They may be purchased online at or by calling 256-655-4465.

Some tickets will be available at the door.

Phillip is the first announced candidate to challenge U.S. Rep.
Parker Griffith, D-Huntsville in the 2010 election.
