JSU Study Abroad Program

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) - The universities will share research and exchange faculty and staff.

Taizhou University is sending 15 or 16 faculty members to JSU for training at the school's English language institute and to study teaching methods. JSU plans to launch its first computer science program with Taizhou in the fall.

The university also reached agreements with Wuhan, Zhejiang and Shanghai Normal universities. JSU President Bill Meehan said being able to sit across from a student from another part of the world is an education in itself.

He said exposing more students to the world is important.
