AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Police say they think an Augusta man took
his own life at an interstate rest stop in Alabama after killing his estranged wife last weekend and placing her body in the trunk
of her car.
Police say the couple, Scottie and Jessica Murphy, was found at
an Interstate 65 rest stop south of Montgomery, Ala.
Jessica Murphy, who worked in the advertising department at The
Augusta Chronicle, had been missing since Saturday when she failed
to show up for work.
Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of her death.
