BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A couple has pleaded guilty to a felony
theft charge involving patients at boarding homes they ran in
Birmingham and Bessemer.
The guilty pleas on Monday came from 48-year-old Wanda Pullom,
also known as Wanda Peoples, and 51-year-old Artis Pullom, also
known as Artis Jenkins.
Wanda Pullom pleaded guilty to first-degree theft.
She was initially sentenced to 10 years Monday under a plea agreement with Jefferson County prosecutors in the Birmingham division.
Artis Pullom pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree
theft. He was initially sentenced to 15 years, because he has three
