CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) - A grandmother and her 4-year-old granddaughter have been killed in a single car accident about four miles northeast of Cullman.
Cullman County Coroner Gary Murphree said 50-year-old Linda Pope
and her granddaughter, Reagan Walker, both of Cullman, were
pronounced dead on the scene at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Troopers said Pope's daughter and Reagan's mother, 29-year-old
Jacquelynne Michelle Cooper of Cullman, was driving the car when
she apparently lost control.
Troopers said the car left the road in a sharp curve, rolled up on its side and the top of the car struck a tree.
Authorities said the mother was taken to a Huntsville hospital where she was released on Sunday.
