Family unhurt during Bessemer home invasion

BESSEMER, Ala. (AP) -Police said the gunmen threatened to hurt the eight family members in the home and got away with a small amount of cash during the home invasion around 5 a.m. Friday.

Sgt. D.L. Hunter said police have interviewed the victims and
are following leads.

It is the second home invasion in the area in recent months. A
42-year-old man was abducted from his nearby home on April 13. He
was driven around for several hours and forced to withdraw money
from an ATM before he escaped at a gas station.

His car was found completely burnt the next day.
