Ex-Baldwin DA to prosecute child sex abuse case

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) - David Whetstone, who was DA for 22 years, is set to prosecute 33-year-old Daniel Saucier of Mobile and his father 53-year-old Dudley Saucier of Spanish Fort.

Authorities arrested the men this week on charges of
first-degree sodomy, sex abuse of a child under 12 and sexual
torture.

The elder Saucier told the Press-Register newspaper Friday that
the charges were false and brought by an adult with a personal
vendetta.

The two were released from the Baldwin County Corrections Center
on $75,000 bail each.

Daniel Saucier is the ex-husband of Hallie S. Dixon, a former
chief assistant district attorney.
