HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Officials at an Alabama jail say a man
accused of killing two teenagers when his truck crashed into a car
wash while fleeing police last month has been identified as an
illegal immigrant.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer
on 25-year-old Felix Dominquez Ortega, who has been in the Madison
County jail since his arrest April 17.

Police say Ortega, who faces murder and other charges,
apparently was drunk when he fled from officers and struck the
other vehicle. Killed were killed 16-year-old Leigh Anna Jimmerson
of Grissom High School and 19-year-old Tad Mattle, a recent Grissom
grad.

Police spokesman Sgt. Mark Roberts said Ortega was wanted at the
time for an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence.
