Woods Gets Life Sentence in Restaurant Shootings

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A judge has sentenced Jamal Woods to
life in prison without the possibility of parole for the slayings of Thurston Turner and Tank Beavers at a Huntsville TGI Friday's in
2006.

Judge Laura Hamilton also sentenced the 24-year-old Woods to 99 years in prison for the attempted murder of Autora Rogers and given
20 years for assaulting William Reliford.

Woods was convicted in February of capital murder in the shooting deaths of the two Athens men.

Sentencing was delayed following the illness of a juror, who died earlier this month.
