MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Attorney General Troy King and the Better Business Bureau are warning consumers about e-mail scams regarding the swine flu.
He said the scam appear to be phishing attempts.
King said two online security companies reports spammers have begun sending out e-mails to trick people into divulging personal information in an effort to steal identities.
The AG said you should never give out your personal or financial information by way of e-mail or telephone.
Anyone who receives the fraudulent calls or e-mails are urged to report the matter to the AGs Consumer Protection Division by calling toll-free to 1-800-392-5658.
