MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - One man is dead and an 18-year-old remains
in custody following an apparent robbery attempt at a Tillman's
Corner loan business near Mobile.
Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr. says an employee
at the business shot and killed a man believed to be a robbery
suspect during the incident about 2:50 p.m. Monday.
His name was not immediately released.
Police said 18-year-old Durrell Smith has been arrested and
charged with first-degree robbery.
He's being held in Mobile County Metro Jail without bail.
It was not immediately known if he has an attorney.
