MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - State health officials say a third
probable case of swine flu has been reported in Alabama.
State Health Officer Don Williamson said Thursday night a
Montgomery woman in her 20s had been diagnosed with the probable
case of swine flu. Williamson said blood samples from the woman
have been sent to the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta for
Williamson said the woman was treated at a Montgomery hospital
and is recovering at home. He says the woman has not traveled
recently to Mexico or other locations.
Two earlier cases of swine flu were reported in Madison County.
Two 6-year-old kindergarten students at Heritage Elementary School
in Madison were believed to have swine flu.
