Concert to benefit Boaz family of slain woman

BOAZ, Ala. (AP) - It's been almost two months since Erica Droze
was slain Feb. 27 at a carwash in Guntersville.

Droze's estranged husband, Jesse Phillips, is charged with her
murder, and a special event is being held Friday night for their
children.

Droze's family says they are still concerned about 2-year-old
Ymari and 3-year-old Davante, who are now learning how to live
without their parents.

Droze's brother Billy Ryan says you can't imagine to have to go
through something like that, calling it "earth-shattering."

A benefit concert for Droze will be Friday night at the Boaz
fairgrounds.

Country music performers Darryl Worley and Billy Ryan
will be performing, along with several other acts.

Tickets will be $15 and the doors open at 4 p.m.
