DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - Daniel Wade Moore's former cellmate has testified that Moore told him of being strung out on drugs and not knowing what happened when asked how he became involved in Karen Tipton's killing.
David Redmon told jurors Wednesday that the 34-year-old Moore said he never meant to hurt anybody. Redmon, who grew up with Moore, gave his testimony during Moore's capital murder trial for the March 12th, 1999, death of Tipton.
The 39-year-old woman was sexually assaulted and stabbed to death in her Decatur home. Moore is being tried for the third time in the killing.
