Georgia man dies trying to climb Gulf Shores condo

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A 35-year-old Georgia man has died after falling while trying to climb to a third-floor Gulf Shores condo unit he had been locked out of.

Authorities said Monday that Paul Stanley Grimes died Sunday in a Pensacola hospital.

Cpl. Justin Clopton of the Gulf Shores Police Department said Grimes and friends returned from Saturday night's Widespread Panic concert in Orange Beach to the Regatta Condominiums and discovered they were locked out.

Clopton said Grimes tried to climb up the building's balconies to the group's condo and open it that way. Investigators believe he reached the third floor when he fell.

No foul play is suspected but the death remains under
investigation. Clopton said it is unknown whether alcohol played a
part in the death.
