Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Death Penalty Appeal

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Alabama Supreme Court has declined to hear the appeal of a death row inmate accused of killing a husband and wife in Bessemer because of an unpaid drug debt.

The court on Friday refused to hear the appeal of 35-year-old Aundra Marshall. The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals last year upheld Marshall's conviction for the Feb. 6, 2004 deaths of 48-year-old Clarence Kile and his wife, 39-year-old Allison Kile.

The Kiles were beaten, bound and then burned to death in the trunk of their car.
