2 siblings jailed in Montgomery homicide

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Police say two siblings are behind bars in connection with Montgomery's latest homicide.

Major Huey Thornton, a police spokesman, said 28-year-old Toniamekia Jones and 21-year-old Santana Jones were each charged with murder in the death of 20-year-old Debrenda Soles.

Thornton said Soles was found dead from a gunshot wound in the 700 block of Early St.

Officers found the victim just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police said it appeared Soles got into an altercation with the sisters. Thornton said detectives determined Toniamekia Jones shot the victim
