FAIRHOPE, Ala. (AP) - A Fairhope group is organizing a tax protest.
Rallies will be held all over the country on Wednesday.
That's the April 15th tax filing deadline.
Gene Labrato of Fairhope says he and his family couldn't just
sit and watch what he calls an "out of control" government
spending trillions of dollars.
He says they are joining the "TEA" protest. That stands for
"Taxed Enough Already."
He says the Fairhope protesters will rally at 3 p.m. at the Fairhope pier on Mobile Bay.
He says there won't be any tea thrown into Mobile Bay.
He says this tea party, just like the one long ago in Boston, is meant to
take a stand.
