DNA results are in and now police are in hot pursuit of a serial rape suspect.
Police are confirming that one man is responsible for the rape of three women in the Dothan area over the span of about a year and a half.
Investigators put together a sketch of the suspect.
He's described as a black male between 5'8" and 5'9" weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing during all three of the incidents.
The victims are from different ethnic backgrounds, one was raped after the suspect broke into her home, another was taken from a public place.
Police are hoping members of the community come forward with information to help bring this rapist to justice.
Chief John Powell with the Dothan Police Department said, "We are concerned about it, that's why we are reaching out to the media requesting assistance to get this information circulated because we feel confident someone inthe community will know this individual, possibly be friends with him and will get us this information."
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences called the police department this week with the DNA results. Investigators are now looking into more cases to see if this suspect may be responsible for other rapes that have occurred in the area.
If you think you can identify the man in the sketch you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 793-7000.
All callers remain anonymous and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
