MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A Mobile police officer was cut from the
underage drinking task force after a candid party picture surfaced
at the department showing her and two underage cadets drinking
alcohol in a limousine.
Cpl. Allison Burroughs was the department's Underage Drinking
Task Force liaison when the photograph was delivered to Police
Chief Phillip Garrett in February. One of the cadets had worked
undercover for Burroughs, posing as a minor trying to buy alcohol
at local businesses.
The Press-Register reports that Burrough was transfered to the
motor pool and other disciplinary action is being considered.
Garrett said the cadets face suspension.
He said neither Burroughs nor the cadets denied drinking the
night the photo was taken.
A message for Burroughs was not immediately returned Thursday.
