2 arrested for killing bears in Mobile County

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities arrested two members of the Bucks Outdoorsman Hunting Club in north Mobile County on charges of
killing three black bears on club property.

Kevin Dodd, assistant chief of the enforcement division of the
Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, says more arrests are expected.

He says 46-year-old Randy Jordan of Wilmer was charged Monday
with two counts of killing a black bear and 41-year-old Robert
Cardin of Theodore was charged with one count of killing a black
bear.

Penalties can include a fine of up to $5,000, a year in jail and
the loss of hunting and fishing licenses for three years.

Cardin declined to comment.

Jordan was unavailable for comment.
