BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Organizers of Birmingham's City Stages
2009 event have announced a partial lineup including Jane's
Addiction, Young Jeezy and the Neville Brothers.
City Stages executive director Denise Koch said a second round
of performers will probably be revealed in May.
Koch said this year's festival will have lower ticket prices, a
slimmed-down budget and one fewer stage due to the economic
downturn and the event's perennial budget woes.
Acts also include En Vogue, Styx, REO Speedwagon, 38 Special,
Indigo Girls, Jonny Lang, the Doobie Brothers, Guster, Charlie
Wilson of the Gap Band and Needtobreathe.
Prices for advance weekend passes have been lowered by $5 and
will range from $37.50-$55 and the age limit for free children's
admission has been raised from 10 to 12 years of age.
