This puts Chipola river almost 3 and a half feet above flood stage.
Officials are urging anyone living along the river to move any property near the river away from the banks to higher ground. They are asking that all vehicles are moved away from the area before the river crests as well.
In Holmes county the Board of Commissioners has issued a voluntary evacuation for residents who live in the Choctawhatchee River basin and low lying flood prone areas.
Walton County, Florida has also been declared a local state of emergency.
