Lee Co. coroner says 14-month-old was murdered

OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Lee County Coroner Bill Harris says a
fourteen-month-old boy is the county's latest homicide victim.

Lee County sheriff's deputies were called to a residence in
Smiths Station Sunday at about 10:30 a.m. where they found the
infant unresponsive.

Harris said efforts to revive the baby were unsuccessful.

How the unnamed toddler died was not released, but his death was
ruled a homicide.

There have been no arrests or charges filed in the case.

The infant's murder remains under investigation.
