MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A former Bridgeport police officer has
been arrested for misusing confidential law enforcement
According to Attorney General Troy King, 53-year-old James T.
Beck Jr., faces a two-count indictment charging him with illegally
obtaining or trying to obtain criminal records.
Both charges are felonies.
King said the indictment was returned on March 10.
Beck was arrested Thursday and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
Its unclear if he has retained an attorney.
