Sheriff Says Deadly Etowah County Fire Accidental

BALL PLAY, Ala. (AP) - Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says
a mobile home fire that killed five people Friday has been ruled

The sheriff said Wednesday there were no signs of foul play in the fire in the Ball Play community about 10 miles east of Gadsden.

The fire killed 39-year-old Billy Fain Jr.; his wife, 27-year-old Callie Mae Lawson; her daughter, 10-year-old Haley Lowe; and Fain's two children, 4-year-old Nicholas Fain and 3-year-old Zachary Fain.
