BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Two Birmingham men will serve a combined
235 months in federal prison after both pleaded guilty to
participating in a violent carjacking in Birmingham in April 2008.
U.S. Attorney Alice Martin said U.S. District Judge L. Scott
Coogler Thursday sentenced 27-year-old Eric Terrell Carpenter of
Birmingham to serve 121 months and 23-year-old Demetrius Tucker of
Bessemer to 114 months.
In a plea deal, Carpenter and Tucker admitted they carjacked an
individual at Cleveland Ave. Southwest in Birmingham.
