MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Montgomery police confiscated an estimated $10 million worth of powder cocaine from a tractor-trailer on Interstate 85.
Police Chief Arthur Baylor said Thursday, officers stopped the northbound truck Tuesday near the Mitylene exit.
A search of the trailer found more than 100 kilograms of cocaine in wrapped in bundles.
Authorities said no charges were immediately filed against the
truck driver, because the investigation is ongoing.
Montgomery police made a similar bust in Jan. that netted 23 kilograms of cocaine.
Baylor says officers have received special training in spotting drug shipments on the interstate.
