Huntsville man pleads guilty in child sex case

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A Huntsville man awaits sentencing after
pleading guilty to multiple counts of sexual exploitation of

U-S Attorney Alice Martin said in a statement Thursday,
35-year-old John Lawson Simons entered the plea to 22 felony counts
in U.S. District Court in Huntsville.

The charges included transporting child pornography, possession
of child pornography and interstate travel with the intent to
engage in a sex act with a minor.

Martin said Simons faces up to 65-years or more in federal
prison on all charges. All counts carry a fine of up to $250,000.

No sentencing date was immediately scheduled.
