MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A routine traffic stop on an interstate
highway in Montgomery led to the discovery of more than 23
kilograms of cocaine in a truck.
Montgomery police spokesman Captain Huey Thornton said officers
found the cocaine worth about $2 million on Thursday.
Thornton said the vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on
Interstate 85 north.
Authorities declined to say whether charges were filed against
the suspects because of the ongoing investigation.
