Police ID Auburn Student Injured in Fight

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - An 18-year-old Auburn University student who suffered a head injury during an altercation in the parking lot of a fraternity house remains hospitalized.

Police confirmed Wednesday that Taylor G. Jones, a freshman from Montgomery, was the student injured in the parking lot of the Sigma Phi Epsilon house early Sunday morning.

The incident remains under investigation and Auburn police have not commented publicly on what started the altercation.

Jones was taken to The Medical Center in Columbus, Ga., where he remained in "unsatisfactory condition" on Wednesday, according to hospital spokeswoman Marion Scott. She said the condition is between critical and stable.
