Search conducted for missing Decatur police Sgt.

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - The search for a missing Decatur police officer has yielded few clues.

Police Sgt. Farron Eugene White was last seen late Friday night.

Lt. Jonathan Green, a public information officer, said investigators believe the 48-year-old White may have been involved in a struggle with someone in his office.

White is described as 5 feet 6, about 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt over a tan long-sleeve short.

Members of the Morgan County Rescue Squad spent Sunday searching an area near the Tennessee River.

Authorities declined to say if the search was connected to White's disappearance.
