Investigators say a dispute over money apparently led a man to set fire to his father's mobile home.
Dallas County sheriff's investigators said 19-year-old Christopher Kinard was booked on a second-degree arson charge Tuesday.
Authorities said the camper trailer, located off U.S. Highway 80, went up in flames Tuesday and was heavily damaged. There were no injuries.
Kinard reportedly confessed to starting the fire because his father would not allow him to retrieve his monthly check.
He was placed in the Dallas County Jail under $20,000 bond.
Under Alabama law, 2nd degree arson is a Class B felony.
