GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A joint operation involving police
agencies in Marshall County resulted in the arrest of a Texas
couple and the seizure of 43 pounds of marijuana.
Guntersville Police Chief Jim Peterson said officers were acting
on a tip when they confiscated the illegal drug and almost $4,000.
It happened Monday night during a traffic stop in Douglas.
The names of the individuals arrested were not immediately released.
Peterson said the pot was worth an estimated $100,000 on the streets.
