ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) - Three federal appellate court judges are
hearing arguments concerning the appeal of the convictions of
former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman and former HealthSouth CEO
Attorneys for Siegelman and Scrushy will urge the judges from the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Tuesday to overturn the convictions of Siegelman and Scrushy in a federal government corruption case.
Prosecutors will urge the three judges to uphold the convictions.
Siegelman is free on an appeal bond and says he will be in
Atlanta for the hearing.
Scrushy is being held at a federal prison in Beaumont, Texas.
Siegelman and Scrushy were convicted in 2006 of bribery and other charges.
