Expert predicts Bright, Griffith to be like Cramer

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A political scientist says he expects two newly elected congressmen from Alabama to vote and act a lot like retiring Democratic U.S. Rep. Bud Cramer of Huntsville.

Auburn University Montgomery political scientist Brad Moody said Wednesday he expects Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright and state Sen. Parker Griffith of Hutsville to follow in Cramer's conservative
footsteps.

Cramer has represented Alabama's 5th District in north Alabama since 1991 and has been a leader of the organization of conservative Democrats in Congress known as the Blue Dog Democrats.

Bright and Love both won close elctions Tuesday.

Moody says he expects Bright and Love will be conservative on social issues and moderate on economic issues.
