HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A local strip club caught fire not long
after police arrested the manager for allegedly kidnapping three
Paramedics on their way to an unrelated call saw flames coming
from the Fantasies Gentleman's Club at about 3 p.m. Monday.
An electrical inspector was called to the scene, but investigators
haven't yet released the cause of the blaze.
Thirty-two-year-old Angelo Contino was charged with kidnapping and assault.
Around 12:30 a.m, Employees called police and told officers that
Contino was holding three other employees.
The officers found the doors locked when they arrived. One of the employees managed to unlock a door when Contino, who had been drinking, passed out.
Contino is being held in the Madison County metro jail on $31,000 bond. A message left for Sgt. Mark Roberts was not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.
