BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Gas prices in Alabama are now a penny lower than the national average for a gallon of gas.
The average price for a gallon of regular Tuesday is $2.85.
That's a three-cent drop from Monday.
Birmingham residents are paying the most, with a gallon of
regular averaging $2.91, while Mobile has the lowest city average
The national average for a gallon of regular is $2.86.
The Web site gasbuddy.com, which compares gas prices, shows the
cheapest gas at a station in Dothan for $2.39 and the most
expensive, $3.16 a gallon, at a station in Rogersville.
