DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - A Parent-Teacher Organization president has
been cleared of accusations of buying alcohol for five teens.
Morgan County District Court Judge Shelly Waters said six different versions of the alleged incident provided reasonable doubt. Morgan acquitted Nancy Davis, 48, on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor Wednesday.
The teenagers, three boys and two girls, were between the ages
of 13 and 16 at the time of the alleged incident.
Priceville Junior High School Principal Mary Speegle suspended PTO activities after Davis was arrested in July. She also removed Davis from the school's substitute-teacher list but said she would
like to reinstate her.
