Civil rights activists found guilty

(AP) Former Chicago alderman and civil rights activist Dorothy Tillman

has been convicted of criminal trespassing at a Montgomery hospital in

a dispute over her 84 year old aunt Mabel Barker's medical records.

Back on March 2 Tillman was arrested after getting into a confrontation

with security guards where she became belligerent and used racial

slurs.

Municipal judge Les Hayes gave her a suspended sentence of ten

days in jail and a three hundred and fifty dollar fine.

Tillman has accused the police of brutality but has not filed charges.

Some of the incident was caught on a surveillance video camera and

shown in court.
