CALVERT, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of a mother and daughter killed when a car in Washington County wasstruck by a train.
The sheriff's office says the driver, 55-year-old June Alene Weaver and her daughter, 26-year-old Jennifer Donnel Weaver, died in the accident Tuesday.
A third passenger, identified as Lori Head, also was injured when the CSX train struck the vehicle on Bates Lake Road just north of Calvert.
Head remains in serious condition at the University of South Alabama Medical Center.
An investigation into the crash continues.
