MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The director of the Alabama Securities Commission is warning investors against making sudden and uninformed decisions during the turmoil on Wall Street.
Joe Borg said past experience has shown that con artists try to prey on worried investors during uncertain times.
The director recommends contacting a trusted investment adviser or financial planner before making any sudden move with money. He says citizens with any questions about an investment firm, professional or product can contact the Securities Commission at 1-800-222-1253.
