BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - An Oxford man convicted of possessing child pornography is headed to federal prison.
U.S. Attorney Alice Martin said Tuesday a federal judge sentenced 64-year-old Stanleigh Shaw to 3 years and 1 month in prison.
He was arrested in November 2007 after federal agents discovered he had made a credit card payment to gain access to a child pornography web site.
Shaw must also serve 8 years of supervised release after he completes his sentence and must register as a sex offender.
He was ordered to report to prison on Oct. 21.
