MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Bob Riley has lifted the evacuation order for low-lying and flood-prone areas of Mobile and Baldwin counties along the Alabama coast.
Riley says all roads are open and it's safe for residents to return.
Riley had ordered the evacuation effective at 7 a.m. Sunday for residents of Mobile County who lived south of Interstate 10 and for the Baldwin County areas of Fort Morgan Peninsula, Plash Island and areas south of Fort Morgan Road in Gulf Shores.
