OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - Auburn University president Jay Gogue is recovering after being hospitalized overnight following a brief fainting spell.
Spokesman Brian Keeter said Gogue fainted at a social event Tuesday evening and was taken to East Alabama Medical Center for evaluation.
Keeter said tests were done and the school president was resting comfortably. He said Gogue recently suffered from a cold and viral infection.
Keeter said Gogue's wife and doctors will determine what to do next and when he can return to work.
