BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) - An ex-convict awaits extradition to Alabama after he was arrested in the Fla. Panhandle in the stabbing death of his mother.
Baldwin County Sheriff's Major Anthony Lowery, a spokesman, said 41-year-old James Christopher Adams was taken into custody Wednesday in Pensacola, Fla.
He faces charges in connection with Tuesday night's death of 59-year-old Pamela Ellison. Investigators said the victim was found dead in her garage around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A state prison spokesman said Adams was released from prison in late July after serving a 4-year sentence for a theft and robbery conviction.
Its unclear when Adams would be returned to Baldwin County.
