MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Former football star Kenny Stabler's estranged wife has agreed to sell her Gulf coast home on Ono Island at a January auction in an IRS agreement that will settle her husband's dispute over $580,000 in back taxes.
Kenny Stabler had agreed in February to the sale but Rose Stabler had objected to any deal that would include the sale of the home where she lives.
She told the Press-Register the agreement calls for the sale of the Ono Island house and another home that her husband owns in Mobile.
Kenny Stabler's lawyer confirmed the settlement Wednesday, but declined to discuss details until it's signed.
Court records show the Stablers separated in 2001.
