Construction is dirty, messy and sometimes dangerous work.
But one of the biggest dangers those workers face isn't from the labor.
It's the temperature.
Pavement can actually get up to 160 degrees during the summer.
So OSHA, the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration wants those workers everywhere to voluntarily take a break from 7A.M. to 8A.M. every morning and take steps to prevent heat illness.
OSHA says they'll hold a safety stand down at construction sites throughout the southeast on June 4th.
