2 Arrested in Narcotics Investigation

On August 9, 2012 the Dothan Police Department Narcotic Unit made multiple arrests and seized 57 Dilaudid pills, 33 Xanax pills and 4 Oxycodone pills in conjunction with an ongoing investigation. Police say the investigation has been extensive and may involve additional charges therefore limited details about ongoing investigation are being released however police did confirm two arrests have been made.

•John Rusty Coy Cook, white male, 21 years of age, of Sioux Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime with bonds totaling $60,000.

•Melissa Eileen Kless, white female, 46 years of age, of Abbeville, Alabama was arrested and charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime with bonds totaling $90,000.
