A local swim team gives back to the community, in their own unique way.
The Dothan Dolphins Swim Team held a Swim-A-Thon fundraiser this morning, to benefit the Wiregrass Children's Home.
Thirty-six swimmers swam 200 laps while fans cheered them on.
The group surpassed their initial goal of $3,500 halfway through the fundraiser.
"To participate they brought $25 in donations. We have 27 swimmers who brought in over $100 each,” said Bill Bull, President of the Dothan Dolphins Boosters.
The competitive swimming team has 7 state champions in the group.
The team will hold tryouts Monday, October 4th at 5:15pm at Westgate Park.
